Posting on Instagram at the right time is just as important as the quality of your posts. But here’s the thing: the best time to post isn’t necessarily the same for every brand.
Although many studies show that certain days of the week and time of day are generally better, standard practice doesn’t always work for your brand.
This is a good place to start, but you still need to experiment with experimenting with different display calendars to understand what works best for your brand and followers.
Like all social platforms, Instagram uses a dynamic algorithm that changes from time to time, making things a bit more complicated.
If you’ve found the best time to post your content, don’t hang up your hat just yet – you need to stay on top of those algorithm changes by testing, measuring, and fine-tuning your strategy (foam, rinse, repeat).
Instagram’s algorithm pays attention to how much engagement your posts get and how quickly users engage with them, so you should find this Sweet Spot to increase your visibility.
As it stands, these tips will help you get the attention your IG posts deserve.

Great news, right? You can post on IG any day of the week! Not so fast.
Hubspot found that Mondays and Thursdays are generally the best days to post on Instagram, any time of the day, other than between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Some brands – not all – also find Instagram posts good. shuttle course Monday morning, between 8:00 a. m and 9:00, am
If you are posting videos, however, you’ll want to schedule these posts between the hours of 9:00 pm and 8:00 am, any day of the week. (Turns out watching Instagram videos in the office isn’t something a lot of people don’t. Who knew?)
Not all studies have the same results. Latergram, a service that lets users manage and schedule Instagram posts, analyzed 61,000 posts to find out when they get the most likes and comments and found Wednesday to be the best day (but not by many). The best times to post? 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Social Push did a similar analysis and found that Instagram posts tend to get the most engagement on:
In the Social Germ analysis, posts get moderate to high engagement on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the day, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to around 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., and from 11:00 am to 12:00 p. m on Saturday. Messages between 5:00 am to 6:00 am Tuesday through Friday also tend to get good engagement.
